"Do One Thing" Exhibition/Benefit

Blue Rock School and Rockland Center for the Arts will host a very special one-day Art Exhibition fundraiser on RoCA’s sprawling 10-acre campus in West Nyack.

 The exhibit will showcase art that touches on issues of significant importance among our community members, and highlight the important role that artists can play in amplifying a message or point of view and effecting meaningful change in the world.  All this, while inspiring a new generation of artists and raising funds for two Rockland non-profits dedicated toward giving young artists a regular platform for creative expression.

Danny's Concert: A Chamber Music Program to Welcome Autumn !

Charles Yassky and friends perform chamber music for clarinet, strings and piano by Neely Bruce, Roger Király, Jordan Dykstra and W.A.Mozart in a remembrance of Danny Klein. Performers are Charles Yassky, clarinet, Neely Bruce, piano and the West End String Quartet. The program will conclude with the Quintet for Clarinet and Strings, K. 581 by Mozart, a piece written for the clarinet shortly after the instrument was invented and still one of the most revered and widely performed works for clarinet and strings. The kind, caring, and courageous Danny Klein was a snowboarder, musician, and beloved young man who also happened to have Asperger’s Disorder. There is no admission fee but seats are limited. All contributions will benefit the Danny’s Promise program at Jawonio. Click HERE for more information.

3rd Annual Full Moon Party

Tickets:  $60 per person

Rockland Center for the Arts will hold its 3rd Annual Full Moon Party, Saturday, September 22nd, on the beautiful grounds of The Catherine Konner Sculpture Park.  Festivities this year will include music and dancing with Used Karmas, 4:00-5:00pm and The Old No. 7 Band, 6:30-8:00pm, a BBQ Dinner & Drinks, a Silent Auction of Fine Wines & Art and more.
