Rockland Center for the Arts will present the Tequila Soul Project in concert. The band will feature R&B, Soul, Funk, Rock and Blues. The band was started by Rockland’s own Jeff Doctorow (Guitar), along with Jim Finnen (Bass), Ed Steinberg (Drums), Lorena Mann (Vocals), Willey Loniewski (Harp/Congas), and Ross Mazer (Saxophone).
Charles Yassky and friends perform chamber music for clarinet, strings and piano by Neely Bruce, Roger Király, Jordan Dykstra and W.A.Mozart in a remembrance of Danny Klein. Performers are Charles Yassky, clarinet, Neely Bruce, piano and the West End String Quartet. The program will conclude with the Quintet for Clarinet and Strings, K. 581 by Mozart, a piece written for the clarinet shortly after the instrument was invented and still one of the most revered and widely performed works for clarinet and strings. The kind, caring, and courageous Danny Klein was a snowboarder, musician, and beloved young man who also happened to have Asperger’s Disorder. There is no admission fee but seats are limited. The album was produced by Tim Bluhm. The record ranges across a wide expanse of roots genres, from blues and gospel to folk and country.

The Swampgrass Jug-band will be live, in an intimate concert setting at Rockland Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 10th at 7:30 pm. So come and get intimate with us. This is a special unique evening, not to be missed. Jug band, American Roots music, blues, old timey, bluegrass and kazoos. For over 4 decades the many incarnations of The Almost Original Synthetic Swampgrass Jug-Band have thrilled audiences with their death defying acts of heroism and chivalry. More than just helping old ladies cross the street, the band presents an eclectic mix of American Roots music, Old Timey string band music, original Jugcoustic and of course, good ol’ Jug Band bluegrass music.
